Second set:
Another 2-fer where 2 discs are showing up in my feed as 1 CD. Don’t know why. But we are flexible.
Wow this show starts off very strong with great versions of Bertha, Me and My Uncle, Mr Charlie, and He’s Gone. He’s Gone is quickly turning into a favorite, driven by an infectious groove.
I just realized that I Know You Rider often follows China Cat Sunflower.
Big Railroad Blues is also turning into a favorite. This is a very solid disc.
Onto the next one.
I don’t remember ever hearing The Stranger before. Pigpen definitely doing some different stuff here.
Music that we like is very subjective. However, to me the version of Good Lovin in this show features the best jam of the tour so far. It mostly retains a high level of energy throughout, which I think helps keep the song moving towards its conclusion.
China Cat into IKYR is awesome! Such a cool transition.
