I didn’t use lemon juice. I replaced the lemon juice, zest, and milk with buttermilk, I also reduced the sugar by about 1/3. I think next time I’ll replace some of the baking powder with baking soda. I also used Bobs Red Mill stone ground cornmeal,
I also used less butter than planned because when I was melting it my microwave it somehow exploded. What a mess,
But they are good.
