Connections is a game you can play on the New York Times website which involves taking a matrix of 16 words and arranging them into 4 categories. The challenge is to figure out what the categories are, and then figuring out which words fit into which category. Recognizing that not every guess will be perfect, you are allowed 4 mistakes.

I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I mostly figured out the categories but mismatched which words fit into the categories. (Note to experienced solvers–the purple category is the most difficult, and I figured that one out first today!)

Each day the New York Times evaluates the games difficulty. They rate each game on a 1-5 scale with 1 being the easiest, and 5 being the most challenging. They also analyze how many players got the correct answer on that day. Today’s puzzle was 5/5 difficulty, with only a 45 % solve rate.
But I’m still disappointed that my streak is over. It starts again tomorrow!
