Things You Shouldn’t Bring to A Baseball Game

I attended the spring training season opener between Cincinnati and Cleveland at Goodyear Ball Park and after seeing the long security lines I was prompted to write this.

  • Telescope
  • Trombone
  • Surgical tools
  • Coat of armor
  • An easel, or other large art material
  • A book (you are supposed to be watching the game)
  • A movie or Youtube video on your phone
  • SCUBA gear
  • A bad attitude
  • Party favors, such as Silly String

In case you are wondering, here is the official list of prohibited items

  • Cans, glass, hard-sided coolers and large bags or packages
  • Firearms or deadly weapons in accordance with A.R.S. § 13-3102. and A.R.S. § 4-229
  • Noise making devices or laser pens
  • Action sports equipment such as skateboards, roller blades, scooters, bicycles, and shoe skates
  • Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
  • Large umbrellas and lawn chairs
  • Commercial cameras (with lenses exceeding 8″) or video recording devices, tripods
  • Animals and pets (except for service animals for guests with disabilities)
  • Food and beverage items not outlined above in Items Allowed
  • Obscene or indecent clothing
  • Sparklers and/or other fireworks
  • Drones
