Brown Eyed Women is really cool, complex but cool

He’s Gone really has a nice groove.

I don’t remember hearing the Stranger. Do I? It’s Pigpens gentler side. Key of E. Nice use of F#m and C#m in the progression.

Casey Jones is favored by an excellent mix. All of the instruments can heard equally well.

Good Lovin features a new way to get into the jam. As a result, the jam is different. A bit different and funkier than earlier versions from this tour.

Next Time You See Me also features Pigpen on vocals. That’s two tunes in a row, which I also think is a first on this tour. There is a false start on this song where some of the players temporarily lost electrical power.

Now settling in for 36 min of Dark Star, with a 2+ min interlude for Drums. I’ll be listening straight, btw.

Big Boss Man just keeps shuffling along in an E blues. Solos by Pigpen/Jerry/Pigpen
