Ramble On Rose (key of D-with an E chord in the progression) opens up this disc. Jerry’s solo seems familiar. Perhaps I’ve heard part of it before?
Sugar Magnolia is next (key of A. F#m makes as appearance here as well). Phil’s bass really drives this song, Around the 3:20 Jerry and Bob play something nice unison lines. After a false ending, the band breaks into Sunshine Daydream. As they often do.
Not Fade Away (key of E) features some tentative vocals. Jerry’s solo seems uninspired also. Recycling many ideas over and over, like I do!😊
Going Down The Road Feeling Bad enters seamlessly! What a great transition. Key of E. The 6 chord shows up here too. They really like using it. Jerry takes several runs through the changes. Playing something each time. Donna gets a little screechy towards the end. A slow instrumental immediately runs into the next song.
Not Fade Away lets us hear Pigpen trading vocal licks with Bob and with Jerry’s guitar. Pretty cool. Key if E again.
The encore is One More Saturday Night, as it often is. Bob introduces it as their newest single. Key of C. It really rocks!
