There is no ignorance. There is knowledge.Peace is a lie. There is only passion
There is no fear. There is power.Through passion, I gain strength.
I am the heart of the Force.Through strength, I gain power.
I am the revealing power of light.Through power, I gain victory.
I am the mystery of darkness.Through victory, my chains are broken
In balance with chaos and harmony, immortal in the force. The force shall free me.

There are some similarities between how Jedi and Sith are identified and trained

  • Mentors: The Jedi are trained by various Jedi Masters . They identify promising students and then teach them to channel the Force to meet their goals. Sith are trained by a Sith Master, with their training focused on how to channel the Dark Side of the Force.
  • Artifacts: The Jedi built and maintain a large library of Jedi history and lore for study. The Sith have artifacts called holocrons that store knowledge. Jedi training is voluntary. Sith training is often unleashed when a holocron is stolen or viewed.
  • Principles: Jedi mostly use the force to control their own actions and their emotions. Sith mostly use the force to control others.
  • Recruiting: It’s rare, but not impossible, for a Jedi to recruit a member of the Sith-associated Dark Side. Sith identify vulnerable Jedi and convert them to the Dark Side.
