Book Notes: The Great Gatsby

This is the movie tie in edition of the book.

Of course you read this in high school, looking for symbolism with Dr. Eckleburg’s eyes and the green light at the end of the dock.

I recently re-read this, having read it at least once since high school. Here are some brief notes of themes from the book.

  • Revenge
  • Wrongful death
  • Infidelity
  • Love lost
  • Love regained
  • Socialites
  • Haves and have nots
  • Jazz age

This reading is part of my project to read more classics and more fiction. See my notes from War and Peace.
